British Columbia invited 136 tech workers to apply for a provincial nomination on March 1. Invitations were used through BC PNP Tech, which is a stream under BC PNP.

BC PNP Tech Pilot is a program for in-demand tech workers and international students and is a fast-track for Provincial Nominee Program.

The Express Entry candidates who have received a nomination from British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program will receive an additional 600 points to their existing Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score profile. A total of 3,977 immigration candidates have been invited in 2021 so far.

About the BC PNP

British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) categories are managed under BC’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). To apply via the SIRS, qualifying candidates must first register an account. Applicants are assessed and given a ranking based on criteria such as level of schooling, work experience, English language proficiency and job location. Candidates who succeed in receiving the nomination will receive an additional 600 CRS points, which, in effect, guarantee them an Invitation to Apply from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
