Ontario, British Columbia, Manitoba, and PEI Selects Candidates

Four Canadian provinces have selected candidates through their Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) and nominated them for permanent residence. Candidates were invited on the basis of their professional skills, work history, education, and other factors through economic streams.

Ontario | via Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) 

The OINP conducted four provincial immigration draws recently, issuing a total of 265 invitations in the first draw of the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream to applicants with a score of 35 or higher.

The province, through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), held two selection rounds under the Employer Job Offer: International Student stream. In the first draw, a total of 424 invitations were issued to candidates with a minimum score of 81 and a job offer in specific healthcare occupations. In the second round, a total of 839 invitations were issued to candidates with a job offer in an "other priority occupation" and a minimum score of 77.

 

 

On July 16, under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream, the province conducted its third draw and sent out five invitations. On July 18, via a targeted draw linked to the Express Entry selection system, the province issued 1,240 ITAs under the Express Entry: Human Capital Priorities stream, focusing on candidates with scores between 425 and 444 who worked in the healthcare sector.

British Columbia | via British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP)

On July 16, the province, through its British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC-PNP) held five targeted draws for the Skilled Worker, International Graduate stream. At least 68 candidates with professional expertise in various in-demand occupations and minimum cut-off scores received invitations.

The minimum scores for each of the draw were as follows:

  • Childcare workers: 94
  • Construction worker: 95
  • Healthcare workers: 104
  • Tech workers: 122
  • Veterinary care workers: 80

Manitoba | via Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)

The province, through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), held two targeted draws this week under two different streams. On July 18, through the International Education Stream, the province invited a total of 109 applicants who met the requirements. The MPNP conducted a draw for the Skilled Worker Overseas stream and sent letters of advice to 52 candidates with a minimum score of 645. 16 out of the 161 letters sent went to applicants with an active Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code.

Prince Edward Island | via Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI-PNP)

On 19 July, the province, through its Prince Edward Island PNP (PEI-PNP) issued a total of 84 invitations under its Labour and Express Entry categories. These invitations targeted individuals who are working in the healthcare, construction, manufacturing, professional services, and the International Graduate stream. Additionally, two invitations were sent out under its Business stream on the same day.
